Security is fascinating. It touches each and every one of us – whether we’re making an online credit card purchase, transferring funds or entrusting a service with our intimate emails. Security continues to intrigue with revelations of sophisticated attacks, sometimes analogizing them to the James Bond of the cyber-world. There’s good reason as to why our choice of passwords appears as front-page news, Stuxnet was featured in Vanity Fair, and the extent of NSA’s surveillance continues to surprise. Notwithstanding the high general interest in security, developers time and time again fail to integrate secure coding best practices. How do you transfer that security spark to developers when it comes to writing code?
